Karen E Kennedy is President and Founder of NAS. Ms. Kennedy founded the company in 2008, specializing in the management of commercial properties on a nationwide platform. Recognizing the growing demand for open, honest and transparent asset management, Ms. Kennedy quickly transformed NAS into one of the Nation’s most respected, full service commercial real estate companies.
Since the company’s beginning, Karen has led an executive team in managing $3.38 billion in commercial real estate. The NAS team has managed a total of 186 properties comprised of 25.39 million square feet in 31 states, while generating $662.4 million in cash distributions to 2,612 property investors.
Karen E Kennedy is the former Chief Operating Officer and Chief Portfolio Officer for SCI Real Estate Investments where, in addition to overseeing daily company operations, she was responsible for the asset management supervision and investor relations for a co-ownership portfolio worth over $1.8 Billion and consisting of more than 66 class-A, multifamily, student housing, assisted senior, retail and office properties comprising over 13 million square feet in 16 states.
Karen has been active in all phases of asset and project management for more than 30 years, and has extensive experience directing the management of properties on a national basis. Karen has developed and managed properties on behalf of a variety of asset management firms including The Festival Companies, The Patrician Group, The Meadows Group, G/K Development and Kesco. In addition to her background in asset and property management, she has extensive experience in leasing, project management, construction, and the development of commercial and retail properties. Her skill set makes her input priceless in the underwriting, evaluating and strategizing to achieve the best value from an asset.
Karen E Kennedy has been a Bonded Receiver in the Superior Courts in California, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington. Karen is a graduate of the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She worked on her Master’s of Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations/Marketing at the University of Southern California and has been a speaker at numerous International Council of Shopping Center seminars, UCLA and USC.
Karen is a cabinet member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Jewish National Fund’s Real Estate Division as well as a cabinet member of the Jewish Federation Real Estate and Construction Network.
